Post reaction Kevin October 11, 2022The printer case is held closed by two methods. 1) 3 Philips head screws on bottom of case. 2) one-way, press-to-engage and hold clips on interior of case that are not really meant to be undone after assembly. However, with a ridged, wide and sharp knife blade, or case pry-bar, also thin and ridged, can be used to apply strong pressure on any side to pry open the case in order to separate the top silver assembly from the dark bottom part of the case. The top side near the power outlet seems to give way the easiest. Then use a spacer to keep that edge open as you progress around prying open the case to undo the clips. Since the case is assembled so as not to be undone, there may be some expected minor damage to the plastic case. Be careful as you move around each side prying the case open. The wires to the power outlet and the upper button assembly are short. There is enough length of wire to open everything but the solder welds are very small and can become unsoldered quite easily. Use good judgment when opening the two parts to avoid damaging everything. The printer assembly is dropped into upper case and held into place with semi-ridged pieces of tubing in its four corners. You just lift entire assembly up and pull out. Now the roller assembly is visible to remove the jammed paper. Be mindful that the rollers are all interconnected so don’t be aggressive in spinning the feed rollers. Remember, less is more. Tweezers should be used to pull jammed paper out. When cleared, pressing the calculator buttons to do a calculation should cause the rollers to spin (remember to have the mode switches set to Print first to activate the roller assembly) When done, be sure the wires are positioned so as not to get pinched. Now align the upper and lower case and snap shut.

Post reaction Sam QuintFebruary 6, 2023E merely indicates a calculation result that was too large to display, that you have a paper jam (clear it), or that a part of the calculator has failed permanently. If clearing the paper jam does not work, try the RESET button on the back. If it won't recover then IMHO replacement is the only. Amazon and eBay still have many of these available in used and new condition.
